Hey...I'm Rhino
Ok, actually, my name is Mike, Michael Celestine, but most of my friends call me Rhino. Always hoped it was because I was a big dude and wasn’t some sort of nose joke. Here’s hoping.
While I now hang out in the Pacific Northwest, I grew up in Southern California. After high school I was honored to serve our wonderful country for 13 years in the Navy. After I retired, I went into law enforcement which brought me to the PNW, specifically Snohomish County. I’m also a photographer specializing in lifestyle, family portraits, headshots, sports, engagement shoots, and landscape photography.
I know. You’re asking what everyone else asks:
How did Navy + Cop = Photographer?
It was in fact during my military career that I started becoming interested in photography. As I had the opportunity to travel to beautiful places all over the world, I would see images that I wanted to capture and remember forever. What better way to do that than through a camera lens. My interest in photography only deepened as I would see photos from various media sources that were allegedly done by professional photographers but that just seemed to be missing something.
I could have just kept all this in the “I wish” category. But instead, I began researching this craft to see what I could bring to the field that was different. I thought I could offer a unique take on photography based on my own personal, well-travelled view of the human experience. I also wanted to help people capture their best moments and create long-lasting memories that they’ll cherish forever. Fotos by Rhino was the result.
So what does set Fotos by Rhino apart? I believe it is my attention to detail and my irrational pursuit of perfection. I pride myself on producing images that portray a clean, refined, high-quality aesthetic. It’s work that is I can personally be proud of and that will capture the memories each of my clients are looking for.
When I'm not chasing after bad guys or snapping photos, I like working out, traveling, riding my motorcycle, and hanging out with my family.
